Dear Colleague,

This is the opening mail for the INTUITION Forum.

Your name has been identified by one of the INTUITION partners as interested in VR/VE technologies and their utilisations. Thus you are invited to participate to this forum; in annex to this e-mail there is the official invitation letter from INTUITION NoE coordinator that explains the advantages and the requests you will receive when participating.

To be included in the participants list you are asked to reply to this e-mail confirming your intention to participate and if possible providing us the information we require in the letter. We know that some of you have already expressed the willingness to participate nevertheless we need this final confirmation. Soon the Forum will be online and as soon as we receive your confirmation we will send you the first issue of one of the first INTUITION Deliverables, the User Requirement Document (URD) ? Common Requirements.

This document contains the common user requirements applicable to the VR/VE utilisation within the domains reflected by the INTUITION Working Groups (WGs).

The INTUITION WGs are the following:

* Aerospace Working Group
* Augmented Reality Working Group
* Automotive and Transport Working Group
* Constructions Working Group
* Energy Working Group
* Engineering/Design Working Group
* Entertainment and Culture Working Group
* Evaluation and Testing Working Group
* Education and Training Working Group
* Haptic Interaction Working Group
* Medicine/Neuroscience Working Group
* VR / VE Technologies Working Group

The ?URD ? Common? is prepared with the contribution of the overall INTUITION Consortium open also to all external entities participating to the INTUITION Forum or to the various INTUITION events. The first issue was prepared on the basis of the experience of the partners which driven the results obtained from the VIEW Project (VIEW-of the Future; Contract N. IST-2000-26089). This document contains also generalised schematic validation scenarios that are the most representative ones that were used to identify and collect the scenario specific requirements. Presently only two of these scenarios are included: one for the generic design & development application and the second one for the generic training application.

In case you do not want to receive any further information regarding INTUITION and prefer to be removed from our list please send us a reply to this e-mail with the word REMOVE in the subject.

Best Regards

Enrico Gaia
