Several one year postdoctoral research positions
in the domain of expressive virtual agents and multimodal communication
are available at LIMSI-CNRS, France.

DESCRIPTION
The positions will involve working in one of several projects (national
funding)
related to virtual characters, affective interaction, and multimodal
corpora.
These projects involve cooperation with academic, industrial, artistic
and clinical partners.
- project CARE:
The goal of this position is to model, implement and evaluate an
expressive agent for augmented dance performances.
The model will aim at controlling the MARC expressive agent developed at
LIMSI from video and motion captured data collected from a dancer.
- project AUTISM:
The goal of this position is to model, implement and evaluate animations
of social interaction between virtual characters for pedagogical
software to be used by autistic users.
- two other projects on multimodal corpora and expressive storytelling
Previous experience in graphic programming / affective modeling /
perceptive evaluations is welcomed.
Interviews will take place in October 2008
REMUNERATION
1900 Euros per month during one year
