A PhD position is available at INRIA in Rennes, in the Bunraku team. Topic is in the field of crowd simulation.
There are three main goals for this 3-years PhD. First, the candidate will have to plan, organize and realize experiments – using a motion capture system – allowing to capture some crowd motions at different scales and in various situations. Second, the candidate will have to propose validation techniques for crowd simulators based on the corpus of experimental data. Third, the candidate will use the proposed techniques in order to evaluate qualitatively a set of crowd simulators with respect to their performances.
Candidates to this PhD position shall have strong motivation, and education in mathematics and computer sciences. Knowledge on C/C++ programming, and use of Matlab are welcome.
