The current update of the Network assessment and Quality plan is following up the release of
the updated technical annex for INTUITION. The differentiation in this Work plan is illustrated
in the assignment of peer review processes in an attempt to involve as many partners as possible
and allocate the key competences in the network according to the review required. Quality has
been of high value in INTUITION Network and it is the attempt of the NMC to maintain the
successful course of peer review processing. Another point that needs to be assessed is the
current strengthening of the sustainability section of the Network (since this will be the final
year of INTUITION). In order to establish high quality value of the deliverables that have to do
with sustainability (most importantly the Knowledge Base and the Business Plans) in cluster 1,
the reviewers are strategically set in order to provide the clearest insight on the issues. It is also
planned that teleconferences and small meetings will be also planned for tackling potential
problems with sustainability tasks.
The following paragraphs provide an outline of the document and describe the tasks that are
described in this deliverable. There generic nature needs no alteration whatsoever, and they
should be followed in order to thoroughly comprehend the processes that are described in the
quality plan.
The INTUITION quality manual sets rules and procedures for document and data control,
reporting and scheduling of dissemination events, reviewing of project deliverables, corrective
and preventing actions. It also previews internal quality audits, if a specific problem of big
importance occurs. The manual includes templates for official INTUITION documents and
naming conventions, that are provided in Annexes 3-12 as well as the identification of the
responsible persons for the peer review of each deliverable to be prepared between months 13-
30 (Annexes 1 and 2).
The INTUITION internal assessment methodology is a revision of a similar methodology
already used in previous R&D projects. It is a multi-criteria approach, where 5 criteria are
rated in a scale from 0-5, as a weighted average of various quantitative and qualitative factors.
The criteria are then weighted in an Overall Evaluation Function every six months, the
variance of which during the project execution shows a qualitative evaluation of the work
progress. The INTUITION Network assessment is described in chapter 9 of this document.
Annex 1 provides the PQB members list, Annex 2 the peer reviewers for the M13-30
Deliverables, as these are reported updated in the Description of Work, Annex 3 the template
to be used for the Six-monthly Cluster progress report, Annex 4 the template for the financial
six-monthly Cluster report, Annex 5 gives an overview of the planned project
communications, Annex 6 provides the template for the internal peer reviews, Annex 7 and
Annex 8 the templates for the internal reports and deliverables preparation respectively,
Annex 9 the template for the reporting of a request for corrective action, Annex 10 the
template for the decision on corrective action request, Annex 11 the internal audit report form,
Annex 12 and 13 the forms for the meeting minutes and agendas reporting respectively and
finally Annex 14, the template to be used for the presentations (.ppt) in the context of
INTUITION.
