such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, Multimodal Interfaces and Ambient Computing, Animated
Conversational Agents, Interactive Multimedia Scene Modeling...

The scientific staff has world-class capabilities in 3D interaction, Virtual and Augmented Reality.

Postdoc Topic :
Interactive 3D for art and design consists in interfaces and environments for real-time animation of augmented and virtual reality scenes. The interfaces must be flexible, easily understood and appropriated by artists, designers, architects... They must allow for quick prototyping and simple connections with concurrent applications on 3D audio, lighting, 2D interaction on touch table, video processing, and tracking. 3D rendering takes into consideration the geometry of the projected surfaces, the motion of the spectators and/or performers, and their interactions with the audio or graphic scene components.
The postdoc will be mainly focused on two topics:
- geometry rendering and interactive behavior for individualized 3D audio (ANR project Sound Delta)
- interface for the control and 3D rendering of virtual props for live performance (ANR project Virage)

Requirements (educational and technical background):
- Good Computer Science background.
- Exeprience in one or more of the following domains : VR, AR, 3D interaction, HCI, computer graphics, image, 3D audio, or scientific visualization is welcome.
