3-year post-doc position in Virtual Reality in the Movement & Perception Lab (CNRS & University of the Mediterranean, Virtual Reality Center, Marseille, France)
Collaborative Virtual Environments constitute the core of the Part@ge (http://www.irisa.fr/siames/Partage/wiki/) research consortium (funded by French administration). The part@ge technological, conceptual and research platform approaches collaborative work from the point of view of the human interacting with a 3D virtual environment (eventually including virtual humans).
The consortium involves academic as well as industrial partners. The Movement & Perception Lab appears in all the sub-tasks of the main project, for its expertise in human factors, behavioral tests design and human performance evaluation, in collaborative situations implemented on the systems developed throughout the project.
The successful candidate will coordinate the lab activities within the consortium, will contribute to the experimental studies and will contribute to the deliverables. He/she will be PhD in one of the following domains: Ergonomics, Cognitive Sciences, Behavioral Neurosciences, Virtual Reality. He/she might also possess a high-level engineering degree. The candidate should have a strong background in virtual reality and/or behavioral sciences, programming skills and experience in analyzing tools (e.g. Matlab).
